NIU Black Alumni Council and Center for Black Studies Anniversary Gala
Saturday, April 21

This year, the NIU Black Alumni Council is proud to hold its annual scholarship awards gala in conjunction with the NIU Center for Black Studies' 40th anniversary celebration!

The combined celebration will take place on Saturday, April 21, from 7 to 11 p.m. at the DuSable Museum of African American History in Chicago. A full hors d’oeuvres buffet and open bar will be provided. Music will be provided by the Larry Brown Group and DJ Nick Non-Stop and WeJam Productions.

The Outstanding NIU Black Alumni Award recipient and the recipient of the Fanny Ruth Patterson Scholarship will be honored during this special event.

The cost to attend the gala is $50 for Cardinal & Black and Legacy Members. Tickets are $60 for non-dues-paying members. To receive the member discount please call 815-753-1452.

Business casual attire is recommended.
