The NIU Alumni Association has more than a dozen fun-filled events organized around this year's football season. Whether you head back to campus for homecoming, catch a game on the road or attend one of our regional watch parties, there is a chance for you to show your Huskie pride.

Homecoming - October 16

Come back to your alma mater for homecoming weekend this year. Join fellow alumni at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center (BAVC) Alumni Village for a pregame tailgate on Saturday sponsored once again by GEICO.

Meet NIU President John Peters as you visit the tents hosted by the academic colleges and other NIU organizations. Be sure to visit the Travelers Tent to find out where the NIU Alumni Association is heading next.

The pregame tailgating will include entertainment and a performance by the Huskie Marching Band. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Be sure to stop by the BAVC as we celebrate five years of the building. Special events, prizes and more will be available in the BAVC, your alumni home at NIU.

Away Receptions

Follow the Huskies on the road as they take on Big-10 powers the University of Illinois and University of Minnesota. The NIU Alumni Association in partnership with the Huskie Athletic Scholarship Fund (HASF) will host pregame receptions with food, drink and plenty of your fellow Huskie faithful.

Watch Parties

Just because the Huskies are on the road doesn't mean you have to miss out. Local alumni can watch four Huskie road games on the big screens at Goose Island Brew Pub in Wrigleyville.

Regional Watch Parties

Our regional groups will also host watch parties throughout the country this football season. Arizona, Atlanta, San Diego and Colorado will all host parties during the fall!
