Prague and Beyond – Exploring Bohemia
September 7 to 15, 2012

Prague Prague is a magical city of bridges, gold-tipped towers, church domes and cathedrals, and stunning architecture. Almost undamaged by WWII, Prague's compact medieval center remains a brilliant mixture of cobblestone streets, walled courtyards, and countless church spires all shadowed by her majestic 9th century castle. The city center is a blend of stunning architecture, from Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque to Neoclassical, Art Nouveau and Cubist. Beyond the medieval lanes of the Old Town and the Castle District, there's an entire other cosmopolitan city to explore, with beautiful parks, museums, art galleries, and enchanting music from opera to classical and pop.

We'll enjoy everything this vibrant city has to offer and we'll take time to venture south to the Bohemian countryside to visit the medieval town of Cesky Krumlov and west to enjoy Karlovy Vary, the spa town beautifully situated in the deep wooded valley of the Tepla River. Additional touring will take us southwest to visit Karlstejn Castle, one of the most impressive High Gothic castles in the Czech Republic, and northwest to the town of Terezin, which was once the largest concentration camp in Czechoslovakia.

Charismatic Prague is a living museum and one of Europe's most attractive cities. Enjoy the old and the not-so-old and relax in the ancient city squares as you admire the many architectural treasures of the "Golden City of the Hundred Spires".
