Stepping Forward: Leading Through Adversity

Join NIU leaders for an engaging discussion centered on leading through adversity. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists during the event.
 

Featured panelists will include:

  • NIU Alumni Association President Joe Sener, ’93, M.S., ’10, who has had a long career in engineering design, consulting, and quality operations, in varied manufacturing industries from nuclear powerplant design to hydraulic pressure vessel design and fabrication.
  • Vernese Edghill-Walden, Ph.D., who is NIU's Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Chief Diversity Officer, and Interim Chief Human Resource Officer.
  • NIU Foundation board member and former board trustee Cherilyn Murer, J.D., ’78, President and CEO of CGM Advisory Group, who has been an active voice in the advancement of quality, cost-effective health care for more than three decades.
  • Antonio Johnson, President of the Student Government Association, and a sociology major.


The virtual discussion will be moderated by NIU Executive Director of the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning Jason Rhode, Ph.D. There is no cost to attend this event, which will take place Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 6-7:30 p.m. CT.
