The NIU Rockford Alumni Club and the NIU Alumni Association would like to invite alumni and students to a special send-off for our new and returning Huskies before the fall semester begins in DeKalb. Come out and enjoy food, fun and networking with NIU alumni and students from the Rockford area.

Admission is free, but an RSVP is preferred to ensure availability of food.


Tours of the Poplar Grove Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum campus will be available throughout the event so guests have the opportunity to experience the excitement that the museum has to offer. Weather permitting, those attending the event may witness antique and experimental aircraft landing or taking off on grass runways from the adjacent Poplar Grove Airport, the base for a large community of pilots and historic aircraft.
