Dates: June 12-19, 2020

Trip Details

Nestled high in the Bavarian Alps, Oberammergau is a favorite location for anyone who loves majestic snow-capped mountains and old-world villages. A theatrical tradition since 1634, the world-famous Oberammergau Passion Play is a much-anticipated reenactment of the crucifixion of Christ – from His entry into Jerusalem to the Resurrection – performed only once a decade in the quaint Bavarian village of Oberammergau.

Performed by Oberammergau residents every 10 years as a thank you for the village being saved from the Black Death, this reenactment is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This year the villagers of Oberammergau will perform their 42nd Passion Play.

While the Passion Play will be a true highlight of this trip, we’ll also provide touring in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Eibsee (with a cable car ride to the summit of Zugspitze), the Ammergau Alps (to visit Linderhof Palace), Ettal (to visit the Benedictine Abbey), Herreninsel (for a castle visit), Innsbruck and Wattens (home of Swarovski crystal). We’ll stay comfortably located in one hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which is centrally located for the touring on our schedule.

This is your chance to be a part of a rich tradition, surrounded by majestic mountains and picturesque meadows, as you witness Oberammergau’s unique history and Bavaria’s natural beauty.
