Lunch and Learn With NIU Advocacy Committee

Tues., Jan. 22 (Rockford) and Thurs., Jan. 24 (Chicago)

The NIU Alumni Association and its Advocacy Committee are proud to present two Advocacy 'Lunch and Learns' in both Rockford (Jan. 22) and Chicago (Jan. 24). 
 

Current and former legislators, lobbyists, and advocates come together to share tips and tricks about how the legislature is structured, where to find important information, and how to put your best foot forward when communicating with legislators.

The presentations are $10 and includes boxed lunches with a choice of sandwiches, chips and cookies. Bottled water will be provided. 

Space is very limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

• RAVINI - Roasted turkey with brie cheese, tomatoes and mixed greens on multigrain bread
• CLASSICO - Genoa salami, mortadella, capicola, provolone, tomatoes and mild giardiniera on Italian filone bread, drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette
• MOZZA E POM - Fresh mozzarella with tomatoes, basil leaves and cracked black pepper on Italian filone bread, drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette
