Affinity and Regional Networks at NIU: Stay Connected, Make an Impact

NIU’s affinity program brings together alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the university through shared identities, interests, geographic locations and experiences. This program offers vibrant networks where alumni and friends can reconnect, build lasting relationships, and support one another personally and professionally. Each group or network has an individual mission and each is open to all interested in supporting that mission.

Through campus events, guest speaker series, social gatherings, networking opportunities, and professional development programs, volunteers who support our affinity program create meaningful spaces for engagement and growth. Whether you are looking to give back, meet fellow Huskies, or stay connected with what is happening at NIU, there is a place for you here!

Affinity Networks

Our oldest affinity group, the Black Alumni Council, is dedicated to the retention and graduation of black students and serves as a bridge between the university and its black alumni. Learn more ⇨
