If you have ever dreamed of going into business for yourself, you can hear first-hand from some of NIU's finest alumni entrepreneurs.

NIU Jobs PLUS is hosting a two-part online series entitled: "Be Your Own Boss" featuring successful alumni entrepreneurs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, and 6-7pm on Thursday April 16. Instructions for viewing the presentation will be emailed to attendees two days prior to the event. You will need Google Chrome to access the online presentation.

NIU Board of Trustees chair Dennis Barsema, '77 was a highly successful executive for many years at several Silicon Valley technology companies, including president and CEO of Redback Networks. While at Redback Networks, Barsema led the company through rapid growth and one of the most successful IPOs in Wall Street history.

NIU father/son duo of Ralph Strozza, '81 and Nick Strozza, '08 help make Interpro Translation Solutions one of the leading and most reputable corporations in the foreign language translation industry. Ralph is the founder and CEO, while Nick is the vice president of marketing and sales.
