Join Your Fellow Golden Huskies At A 50+ Year Reunion
Mark your calendar for Oct. 13-14, and join your fellow Golden Huskies during NIU's 116th Homecoming weekend, featuring the class of 1973! For those that don't know, a Golden Huskie is anyone that graduated from NIU at least 50-years ago.

Show off your 50+ years of Huskie Pride!
• Pre-order your Golden Huskies t-shirt by Sept. 20 and wear your Huskie Pride throughout Homecoming weekend.
- These shirts can be picked up on Friday, Oct. 13 at the Barsema Alumni & Visitors Center between 3-5 p.m. at the Information Table, or at the reception at 6 p.m. You may also pick them up at the Mission's Grove tailgate, which begins at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 14).
• Join the Class of 1973 in leaving a legacy for future students by helping to reach the $19,730 fundraising goal to support student scholarships.

Friday, Oct. 13 - 1:30 p.m. NIU campus bus tour - FREE
Cost: Free
Time: 1:30 p.m.
Location: Barsema Alumni & Visitors Center
The tour of campus will depart from the Barsema Alumni & Visitors Center (BAVC), drive past a variety of academic buildings, including a residence hall, and end back at BAVC. Please RSVP here.
3-5 p.m. Huskie Hour with DeKalb County Bold Spirits - $
Cost: $30
Time: 3-5 p.m.
Location: Jonamac Orchard - 19412 Shabbona Rd., Malta, IL 60150
Join Huskies for a tasting event at Jonamac Orchard. Try samples from DeKalb County's local breweries, wineries and distilleries. You're sure to find a drink to quench your thirst. A shuttle will be available to bring you to and from the event. It will leave the Barsema Alumni & Visitors Center at 3 p.m. and depart Jonamac Orchard at 5 p.m.
6-8 p.m. Golden Huskie 50+ Year Reunion Reception - $ * Deadline to register is Oct. 6

Have a blast from the past at the Golden Huskies 50+ Year Reunion Reception at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center, featuring the class of 1973. Take a walk down memory lane that’s been five decades in the making, with heavy hors d’oeuvres.
Saturday, Oct. 14 - 9:30-11:30 a.m. Third Annual Brunch with Mission and Victor E. - $
Cost: Adults $20 ($25 at the door); Kids (4-17) $10 ($15 at the door)
Time: 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Location: In front of Altgeld Hall
The brunch will take place outdoors under a tent, so please dress accordingly. There will be plenty of opportunities to take pictures with our favorite mascot, Mission III, as well!
Each registration includes a full buffet of scrambled eggs, hashbrown casserole, bacon, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, assorted pastries, coffee and juice. With their tickets, guests who are over 21 years old will receive one ticket for a Dawgma beer from Pollyanna Brewing & Distilling or a bloody mary featuring Blue Ice Handcrafted Vodka with their tickets. Additional bar beverage tickets will be available for purchase.
Parking is available in the lot on the north side of the lagoon, as well as in the art building parking lot, which are both located off of College Ave.
11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mission's Grove Tailgate with Reunion Group Photo *
Cost: Free
Time: 11:30 a.m.; photo with Mission at 1:00 p.m.
Location: Mission's Grove is located in the Oderkirk Field, adjacent to the Barsema Alumni & Visitors Center
Gather at a special 50+ year reunion tent at Mission’s Grove and stay for a group reunion picture. There is no cost to attend Mission's Grove. You will be able to purchase food and drink from the various food and beverage trucks that will be on the grounds.
2:30 p.m. NIU vs. Ohio University Homecoming Football Game Information/Tickets
Cost: Starting at $18
Time: 2:30 p.m.
Location: Huskie Stadium
Tickets for the NIU Homecoming football game have been reserved for our Golden Huskies at a discounted group rate! Bench-back and chair-back tickets are available for $30 each, while bench-seat tickets are available for $18 each. Tickets can be picked up at the Huskie Stadium Will Call window beginning at 11:30 a.m.
