Join your fellow NIU ROTC alumni on Friday, Oct. 12, for the  NIU ROTC Huskie 50th Anniversary dinner. The dinner will be held on the NIU Campus at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center,  231 N. Annie Glidden Road. Cost per person is $41. Limited seating is available, so please register early. Registration closes Sept. 28.

The theme of our 50th anniversary event is “Honor & Connect.”

  • Honor: An occasion to honor the service of more than 610 NIU ROTC graduates, who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces during peacetime and war since 1971. We will also take a moment to honor the 50 years that the NIU ROTC program and its dedicated cadre have shaped the lives of young adults on their journey to becoming responsible and productive members of our great nation.
  • Connect: An opportunity to celebrate and connect with fellow alumni, connect with NIU ROTC cadets, and connect with the cadre of the NIU ROTC program.

Dinner options: $41 per person

  • Combo 1 - Northwoods chicken served with an apricot brandy pan glaze, thinly sliced savory beef sirloin in a Mediterranean herb marinade, mixed green salad, wild rice blend, haricot vert lyonnaise and New York style cheesecake
  • Cheese and mushroom ravioli served with a velouté sauce, mixed green salad and New York style cheesecake

112th Homecoming Football Game: Watch your NIU Huskies take on the Ohio University Bobacts Saturday, Oct. 13, at Huskie Stadium. NIU Athletics has reserved a block of 80 seats for NIU ROTC alumni for just $15 per ticket. All seats are together in Section B (westside stands), rows 26 - 28. Seeking Volunteers for Leadership Panel: On Friday, Oct. 12, we are seeking NIU ROTC alumni who are interested in participating on a leadership panel from 1 - 2 p.m. The panel would consist of around five alumni available to field questions from current NIU ROTC cadets.
