Murer Appointed to Surgical Solutions Board
Cherilyn Murer continues to have a major voice in health care issues.
Cherilyn G. Murer, J.D., C.R.A., founder, president and CEO of CGM Advisory Group LLC, has been appointed to the board of directors of Surgical Solutions, a health care services company owned by Sterling Partners and headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois.
Surgical Solutions provides hospitals with state-of-the-art reusable instrumentation, disposable outlay and the skilled personnel to maintain the equipment.
“Cherilyn brings extensive health care, and specifically hospital knowledge and experience, to Surgical Solutions to help guide our strategic development and customer acquisition efforts,” said Ancelmo Lopes, executive chair of Surgical Solutions. “She has a level of sophistication and wisdom that will be a significant asset to the board.”
Murer has been an active voice in the advancement of cost-effective, quality health care for more than 30 years. She founded and was president and CEO of a nationally recognized health care consulting firm, which she sold in January 2017. She launched CGM Advisory Group LLC in March 2017.
In addition to her latest board position, Murer holds a gubernatorial appointment to the Illinois Board of Higher Education. Previously, she served two consecutive six-year terms on the board of trustees of Northern Illinois University, where she was elected chairman twice. She is the first female officer of the 24-member board of trustees of the Lebanese American University, chartered in New York and located in Beirut and Byblos. A board member of the Union League Club of Chicago, Murer is first vice president of Luminarts Cultural Foundation.
