Lunch and Learn With NIU Alumna Susan Caplan: "Building Your Professional Brand"

susan-caplan Susan Caplan, '79, is an author, teacher, speaker and president of the marketing and communications firm SC Associates LLC. She has spoken at NIU events over the past 18 years. She is also the author of the "Marketing Yourself to the Real World" book series.


During "Lunch and Learn" in the NIU Chicago office, Caplan will discuss topics like personal professional branding, career development and networking.


Doors will open at 11:45 a.m. and Caplan will talk to guests from 12:15 to 12:40 p.m. A short question and answer session will follow.


The presentation is free and boxed lunches will be provided as an option for $10 with a choice of sandwiches, chips and cookies. Bottled water and assorted soft drinks will be available. 


Registration (below) is required. Space is very limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.


SANDWICH OPTIONS:

  • RAVINI - Roasted turkey with brie cheese, tomatoes and mixed greens on multigrain bread
  • CLASSICO - Genoa salami, mortadella, capicola, provolone, tomatoes and mild giardiniera on Italian filone bread, drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette
  • MOZZA E POM - Fresh mozzarella with tomatoes, basil leaves and cracked black pepper on Italian filone bread, drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette
