Tickets on Sale for Fourth Annual Victor E. Ball Supporting NIU Student-Athletes

Entertaining Program Includes Guest Speakers, Windy City Dueling Pianos

This year's Victor E. Ball, Northern Illinois University Athletics' premiere fundraising evening, features one of the most entertaining and unique programs in the four-year history of the event. 
 
Guest speakers Ferguson "Fergie" Jenkins, a 19-year Major League Baseball veteran and Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame pitcher, and Katrina Adams, a Chicago native who went from professional athlete to trailblazing leader of the United States Tennis Association, headline a full night of fun, inspiration and entertainment led by emcee David Kaplan. 
 
Fans, friends, alumni and members of the community are invited to join Huskie head coaches, current student-athletes and administrators on Saturday, April 27 at the NIU Naperville Conference Center (1120 E. Diehl Road). 
 
In addition to Jenkins and Adams, guests will hear inspiring stories from current Huskie student-athletes, and get an update on the latest NIU Football news from new head coach Thomas Hammock. The evening will conclude with a lively and interactive performance by Windy City Dueling Pianos.    
 
A cocktail reception, hosted by Acquaviva Winery, kicks off the festivities at 5:30 p.m. in the atrium area of the Conference Center, where guests can peruse and bid on the silent auction items while mingling with the VIP guests and Huskie coaches and student-athletes. 
 
Following the reception, guests will move into the ballroom for the program and dinner, provided by My Chef Catering, one of the top caterers in Illinois. 
 
Online registration for the Fourth Annual Victor E. Ball is now open. Tickets are $400 per person or $3,500 for a table of eight guests, plus a current NIU student-athlete and NIU head coach or administrator. Sponsor a student-athlete's attendance at the Victor E. Ball for $350, which also provides cost of attendance funding for one NIU student-athlete for one month.
 
All proceeds from the Victor E. Ball, whether from ticket purchases, direct donations or the silent and live auctions, assist in funding NIU student-athlete scholarships, specifically the Huskies' ongoing commitment to provide cost of attendance funding to more than 400 student-athletes in 17 sports programs.
 
The Victor E. Ball silent auction, featuring Huskie gear, donations from local vendors, and signed items from throughout the world of sports, music and beyond, will go live online on Friday, April 12 at 8 a.m. (CT).  Anyone can participate in the silent auction, whether or not they are in attendance that evening, and/or can make a donation to support NIU Athletics through the link above.
