We’ve Changed Our Name!
To better reflect and represent the full membership of our Huskie Marching Band alumni community—including all musicians, Color Guard and Silverettes—we are proud to announce a new name for our alumni organization. This change symbolizes our unity, shared traditions, and the lasting spirit and support of the Huskie Marching Band.
Welcome to the Huskie Marching Band Alumni Network!
Whether you marched, danced, twirled or played—you are an essential part of our legacy—and our future. You are a member of the HMBAN.
The music is at the heart of the marching band and our new logo represents this with the first line of the Huskie Fight Song represented across the shield.
While we have a new name and a refreshed look, you can expect the same great updates on alumni activities. Please like our Facebook page!

Summer Social Success
The HMBAN held its Summer Social in July, in conjunction with the Drum Corps International Midwest Classic at Huskie Stadium.
The event featured a networking reception at Pizza Pros in DeKalb, where Huskies enjoyed pizza, beer nuggets and other refreshments. Following the reception, alumni enjoyed front and center seating for the DCI Midwest Classic show held at Huskie Stadium.

Support the NIU Huskie Marching Band and Silverettes
Throughout our proud history, thousands of dedicated NIU Huskies have marched, played, twirled, and danced in the band, making for thrilling performances, lifelong friends and countless treasured memories from their days on the field.
We are asking for the support of invested NIU alumni, family, and friends to ensure future “The Pride of the Midwest” students can look as good as they sound. Consider donating to this year's fundraising effort: raising $20,000 in support of new band uniforms, durable raincoats for the Silverettes and other gear needed to keep them well-outfitted on the field!
Interested in a keepsake uniform? Donations of $1,000 or more will receive a keepsake uniform (limit one), which includes a jacket and pants, after they are retired this year.
