Dear Huskie Marching Band Alumni and Friends,
Thank you to everyone who attended NIU’s Homecoming! It was a fantastic day, with 80-degree weather and beautiful sunshine. It is truly heartwarming to reconnect with alumni from every generation of the Huskie Marching Band, celebrating both timeless traditions and new memories on the football field and in the stands.
We are always excited to be playing on the field alongside the current band members during the Homecoming game, performing movie themes like Mission Impossible, Star Wars, and The Incredibles! Thank you to everyone who joined us—we hope you had as much fun as we did!

Let’s help our NIU Huskie Marching Band and Silverettes look as good as they sound! For generations, NIU students have marched, played, and performed with pride, creating unforgettable memories and representing “The Pride of the Midwest.” Their excellence relies on continued support for instruments, travel, music, and—this year—new uniforms for 2026. Our goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of November to fund new band uniforms, raincoats for the Silverettes, and other essential gear.
Celebrate the legacy! Donations of $1,000 or more will receive one authentic retired Huskie Marching Band uniform—jacket and pants included. Own a piece of history and help keep our Huskies marching forward in style!

Marching Band alumni are invited to perform with the NIU Pep Band for the men’s and women’s basketball games on February 28, 2026. You can perform at either the women's or men's game, or stay and perform for both. More info coming soon. |
