Frida Kahlo exhibit

Sunday, Aug. 22, 1:30-5:30 p.m.

 

Widely recognized as one of the most important painters of the 20th century, as well as a cultural icon, Frida Kahlo drew inspiration for her work from her turbulent and complex life. Learn more about Kahlo’s exceptional life and better understand the context and lasting impact of her ground-breaking work.


Join the NIU Alumni Association on Sunday, Aug. 22, at the Cleve Carney Museum of Art to experience "Frida Kahlo: Timeless," an exhibit featuring works on loan from the Dolores Olmedo Museum Collection. Tickets for the exhibit are timed and groups will begin their viewings at 1:45 or 2:00 p.m.


Following the exhibit viewing, network with your fellow alumni at Brick House Tavern & Tap in Downers Grove from 3-5:30 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages are included with your registration.


This event is being hosted by the NIU Latino Alumni Council. Registration is $35 per person. There are a limited number of spots available, so don’t wait! All sales are final.
