We are thrilled to present the inaugural edition of the Latino Alumni Council (LAC) Newsletter! As part of this dynamic community, we want to keep you informed and connected with exciting updates, events, and opportunities tailored to our group.

The Latino Alumni Council is an exclusive network dedicated to maximizing the academic and social experience of Latinos at NIU. We serve as a representative voice for Latino alumni to further and support the interests of NIU.

Chicago Fire Soccer Game and Tailgate

In partnership with the Alpha Psi Lambda Gamma chapter, please join us at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 at Soldier Field for our annual Chicago Fire tailgate. It's an opportunity to meet old friends, make new acquaintances, and explore exciting initiatives that we have planned before the 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

Ferragosto Rockford

Join the Rockford Alumni Club and your fellow Huskies while supporting NIU during an exciting evening with music and entertainment beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26. Enjoy delicious Italian food, a Huskie-themed drink special, enchanting entertainment including the Amici Italian dancers, giveaways, a bean-bag competition and more!

NIU’s 116th Homecoming

Come celebrate NIU’s 116th Homecoming, “Huskies Come Home!” from Oct. 8-15, in DeKalb. The week includes numerous Homecoming festivities (listed below) and will provide plenty of opportunities for you to celebrate your Huskie Pride!
